Hometown:Salt Lake City, Utah

About Me: Hello, beautiful sisters! I am an RVing outdoorsy type soul who has the wanderlust gene, and I’m married to the zaniest guy around. James and I run a fun little website called The Fit RV, which works to promote a healthy and active RV lifestyle…and we marvel every day that we work together yet somehow stay married and BFFs. We travel extensively, finding crazy experiences, half-baked adventures and tons & tons of joy along our lively road.

Favorite Spring ’16 Aventura pieces: The spiced coral Arden shorts paired with the blue turquoise Hathaway plaid shirt. Perfect for nights around the campfire!

Favorite Blog: I spend a lot of time reading the Go RVing blog: http://blog.gorving.com/ I love reading of other RVers’ adventures and travels, and it inspires me to get out and try new things!

Favorite Instagrammer or Pinner: Peter Holcomb is an amazing photographer, fellow RVer and outdoors lover. I love to follow his photos on Instagram.

Singing in the car or singing in the shower: Neither. The car’s always tuned to NPR, and the shower in the RV is connected to a 6 gallon hot water tank. I’ve got about 30 seconds until freezing...and then any singing turns to screeching!

Best Vacation Spot: Our home state of Utah is a vacationer’s dream, particularly for the outdoor enthusiast. We’ve got world class skiing, amazing national parks, majestic mountains, AND some of the best road cycling in the nation. My all-time favorite of all Utah destinations is Canyonlands National Park, just outside of Moab. I love every National Park we’ve visited, but there’s just something peaceful and almost magical about Canyonlands that keeps pulling me back.

Favorite Book: A Thousand Splendid Suns

Person that inspires you: Queen Elizabeth II. I know, she seems an odd choice, but, wow, the history she’s lived through! This is a woman, simply by virtue of birth, that has known all the significant world leaders from the today all the way back to the 1920’s. I find her fascinating.

What are you listening to right now? A snow plow scraping its way by my office window.

Favorite movie of all time: “Up.” Because “adventure [really] is out there!”

Best piece of advice you ever received? “Don’t fixate on getting there, enjoy the journey.”

What’s the one thing you’re afraid of? Heights. And being an outdoor adventure seeker, this sometimes becomes a problem.

What’s the most amazing experience you’ve had in your life (besides having babies and getting married): Kayaking in the Panama Canal.

Funny tidbit not everyone knows about you…but will now! James and I were so excited for our wedding day all those years ago. The actual ceremony was supposed to take place in a hot air balloon, but Mother Nature foiled our plans. We did get married that day, but on the ground. We fretted, “Is this a bad omen?” Turns out it was just the opposite. All these years later, we’re still a grounded couple with our feet firmly planted. Well, most days!

What does #aventuralife mean to you? How do you live it? James and I gave in to our urge to explore long ago when we purchased our first camper van and hit the road. We both share that “itch” to get out and see the world’s awesomeness up close, yet want to do so in such a way that leaves as little impact as possible. To me, that’s the Aventura lifestyle. Maybe you too have a little part of you that lusts for wandering and adventures and a connection to nature. Aventura designs clothes around just that, and I’m excited and honored to represent the brand.
